I’ve been writing a lot recently … not sure why, or for what purpose, but I certainly am pounding out the verbiage. I’m a bit self-conscious about it all, since I see so many awful books at work, why am I adding more words to the potential bonfire?
I’m enjoying writing though. I’m primarily writing biographical stuff and observations, rather than fiction - I’ve tried writing fiction in the past and always found myself staring blankly at the screen. This seems to be working much better for me and the words are coming much quicker.

I don’t do a lot of re-reading … I generally read the book that I have on hand and then move onto the next. But there are a few exceptions, and at the moment I’m in the middle of re-reading one of my favorite authors ever — PG Wodehouse.

Since I had the day off today, I woke up late, and then went for a long ride on my bike. I love my bike! Goodness knows what I’ll do if I ever have a real problem with it, since it is a model that is no longer made — I ride a BikeE, probably the most comfortable bike ever built. It is somewhere between a regular bike, and a recumbent, and it is just a blast to go cruising around town on my BikeE.

Went to a great concert in a local coffee house last night. I’m a big fan of chill and low-fi music — bands like Air, Massive Attack, Zero Seven, that sort of thing. The band playing last night definitely isn’t on that kind of a level, but they were very good. It’s a very relaxing and comfortable place to hear music; for a show like this, they turned the lights down a little, and a friend and I relaxed on a big beanbag, closed our eyes, and just vegged out to the music.

Hi, I’m Cornelia Moore (or as I’m usually known, Nellie). I think my parents must have had something of a sense of humor, since I’ve yet to meet anybody of my age with the name Cornelia. My age? I’m in my mid-20s, and I live in Southern California. I think that’s about as precise as I plan to be about my location right now — I’m a little cautious about how much of my private life I want to put out on the web.
